New Delhi. After Philippines, now Vietnam and Indonesia are also going to buy BrahMos missile from India. Talks are underway to finalize the deal to sell BrahMos missiles to Vietnam and Indonesia. According to The Times of Newspaper, the agreement to sell BrahMos to Vietnam and Indonesia will be worth more than Rs 4000 crore. The newspaper quoted sources as saying that Philippines can also buy more BrahMos missiles from India. Philippines had earlier purchased three batteries of BrahMos missile from India.

Apart from the Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia are among the countries which have tensions with China due to maritime border disputes. In such a situation, India’s deal to sell BrahMos missile to these countries is very important. Sources told the newspaper that Russia has also given the green signal to sell BrahMos missiles to Vietnam and Indonesia. BrahMos missile is made in collaboration with Russia. In such a situation, Russia’s consent is required to sell BrahMos missile to a third country. BrahMos missile played a huge role in the conflict between India and Pakistan in May 2025. India had caused massive destruction on all the military bases of Pakistan with BrahMos missile.

BrahMos is a supersonic cruise missile. It has a ramjet engine. This missile flies by taking oxygen from the air. BrahMos cruise missile surprises the enemy by flying at a speed 2.8 times faster than the speed of sound. BrahMos missile is capable of flying very low in the prescribed direction. Because of this, it easily escapes from the sight of enemy radar. BrahMos hits its target with such accuracy that has not been seen in any other missile till now. BrahMos causes massive damage by dropping a 300 kg conventional warhead within 10 meters of the target. The Indian Army, Air Force and Navy have so far purchased BrahMos missiles worth more than Rs 60,000 crore. BrahMos missile can be fired from land, air and sea.
