Schools closed in 2 more districts of Bihar, order issued
Patna. Amidst the continuously falling temperatures and increasing cold in Bihar, a decision has been taken to close schools in Patna and Lakhisarai districts. The district administration has taken this step keeping in mind the health and safety of children. Orders have been issued in this regard.
Schools closed in Patna.
All schools up to class 8th in Patna will remain closed till 26th December. Timings have been changed for studies of class 9th and above, now all schools and coaching classes will open only after 10 am. Anganwadi centers and pre-schools will also remain closed during this period. Patna DM Thiagarajan has instructed that this order has come into effect with immediate effect and it can be extended considering the weather conditions.
School closed in Lakhisarai
All schools up to class 8 in Lakhisarai district will remain closed till January 4, 2026. The district administration has taken this decision in view of the continuously falling minimum temperature and cold wave. DM Mithilesh Mishra has issued this order under the Indian Civil Defense Code, 2023. Pre-schools and Anganwadi centers have also come under the purview of this order. The studies of students above class 9 will continue with necessary precautions.
The Education Department and other concerned officials have been instructed to ensure strict compliance with this order. The administration has also appealed to the people to take necessary precautions in cold weather. This step has brought a sigh of relief to parents as the safety and health of children has been ensured as a priority.
