The 45-year-old made the disclosure during her appearance on the iQIYI reality show “The Blooming Journey,” which aired on Dec. 20. While some traditional beliefs regard drafting a will early as inauspicious, Cheung said, she believes failing to prepare in advance poses greater risks.

“I don’t want people to do ugly things because of money after I’m gone,” she said on the programme. “Everyone will die one day. I’ve already chosen my funeral photo and the clothes I want to wear.”

She added that making a will early is a responsible act toward the people she loves.

Cheung’s living relatives include her parents, siblings and three sons. Her two eldest children are from her previous marriage to Hong Kong actor Nicholas Tse, while she has not publicly disclosed the identity of the father of her youngest son.

She entered the entertainment industry in 1999 with Stephen Chow’s King of Comedy and rose to prominence with films such as “The Lion Roars,” “Love Undercover” and “Kung Fu Chefs.”

According to Next MediaCheung owns two properties in mainland China valued at a combined HK$200 million (US$25.7 million), as well as real estate holdings in Hong Kong and Singapore.

The actress is currently involved in a legal dispute with film producer Yu Yuxing and his company, AEG Entertainment. Yu has accused Cheung of breaching contracts related to collaborations between 2011 and 2019, while Cheung has alleged that Yu forged her signature to force her participation in films produced by AEG Entertainment.
