Here defeat after defeat, on the other side England players were happy after drinking alcohol? Now preparing for investigation

The Ashes Test series between England and Australia continues and England’s performance has been very bad. In this tournament of 5 Test matches, three matches have been played so far and in all three, England has faced defeat at the hands of Australia. After the poor performance, many questions are being raised on the England team. Now England team manager Rob Key has said that he will get the team players tested for alcohol addiction. He says that he has no problem with players taking breaks but if there is evidence of excessive fun then it is unacceptable.

England has not been able to win a single Test match in Australia in the last 18 matches. It won its last series in Australia in 2010–11. In such a situation, this time also it has faced defeat in the series and now the remaining two matches are just a formality. If England does not win those matches also, it will be very shameful for them. Meanwhile, reports came that when there was a long gap between the second and third Test matches, the England players went to a resort for a holiday and drank heavily. Has such an incident happened before?

Rob Key further said, ‘We have enough ways to find out what really happened. From what I’ve heard so far, they sat down, had lunch, had dinner, didn’t go out late at night, etc. He also drank some alcohol. I have no objection to this. If the matter goes further than this then as far as I am concerned it will become an issue. Rob Key also said that he had previously investigated reports that players had been seen drinking alcohol on the night before a match in New Zealand ahead of the Ashes.

A video clip of England’s limited overs team captains Harry Brook and Jacob Bethell was shared on social media, which is said to have been made in Wellington ahead of the third ODI on November 1. To this Rob said, ‘I didn’t think it was worth giving a formal warning. I think it was worth giving an informal warning. I have no objection to players having a glass of wine at dinner but anything more than that would be ridiculous.
