Stranger Things Promo: Netflix-Rohit collab, Hitman’s different style seen in Stranger Things final promo
Mumbai. Netflix has added to the hype for the highly anticipated finale of Stranger Things 5 by featuring Indian cricket superstar Rohit Sharma in a special promotional video ahead of the release of Volume 2. Netflix India on Tuesday released a new promo of Indian Captain, which blends the world of cricket with Hawkins’ supernatural drama.
In the clip, Rohit Sharma is seen talking to his teammates in a locker room, where the atmosphere is initially relaxed and fun. Getting into leader mode, the cricketer asks everyone to focus as the final battle approaches. “Listen carefully. The finale is coming,” Sharma tells the group.
“Not just your career, your entire life can be turned upside down.” Drawing parallels between cricket tactics and the show’s main conflict, Sharma warns his team about the unpredictable nature of the “opposition”. “The adversary can attack from anywhere, from the ground, from the wall, or even from the ceiling,” he says, referring to the terrifying threats that define the Stranger Things universe.
The promo also shows Sharma unveiling a special kit, while also mentioning fan-favourite character Steve Harington, played by Joe Keery. When asked about the opposition, Sharma smiles and delivers the punchline, “The same man who makes people fly like kites, Vekana.” “Get ready, boys.
Now it’s time to straighten the upside down. Vecna, your fielding is set,” he says, and ends the promo with a cricketing twist. Sharing the video on its official handle, Netflix confirmed the release of Stranger Things 5 Volume 2 in India.
