PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi will complain to ICC in case of Asia Cup trophy theft

New Delhi: Pakistan’s Under-19 cricket team has captured the Asia Cup trophy by defeating India. Despite the end of this tournament, the controversies continue. Pakistan team mentor Sarfaraz Ahmed raised questions on the behavior of Indian players during the match and alleged that they behaved inappropriately with Pakistani players. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also taken a tough stance on this.

‘It’s against the spirit of the game’

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has said that the matter will be formally presented before the International Cricket Council (ICC). According to him, the behavior of the Indian players during the match was ‘provocative’, which is considered against the spirit of the game.

Pakistan won the final match

This final match was held on Sunday at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai. Pakistan, batting first, scored 347 runs at the loss of 8 wickets. In response to this, the Indian team came under pressure and the entire team was all out for only 156 runs in 26.2 overs. In this way Pakistan won by a huge margin of 191 runs. With this victory, Pakistan won the Under-19 Asia Cup title after 13 years. This is Pakistan’s second title in the history of the tournament.

Shahbaz Sharif hosted the welcome ceremony

After this spectacular victory, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif organized a special welcome ceremony for the Under-19 team. During this program, Mohsin Naqvi condemned the behavior of the Indian team. He also said that sports and politics should be kept separate and cricket should always be played in the spirit of the game.

‘It was against the decorum of cricket’

Sarfaraz Ahmed also expressed his opinion on this subject. He said that the attitude of the Indian players during the final match was unacceptable, which was not in accordance with the dignity of cricket. According to Sarfaraz, despite all this, the Pakistan team celebrated the victory with dignity and sportsmanship. He also said that cricket is a prestigious game, and all players should take the field with the same spirit.
