Big news for the youth for 10th pass! Bumper recruitment for 22 thousand posts, what is the age limit?

RRB Group D Vacancy 2026: Railway Board has brought great news for 10th and ITI pass youth just before the New Year. RRB has issued short notice for this recruitment of Group D category. About 22,000 vacant posts will be filled under this recruitment drive. After the release of short notice, detailed notification and online application process is expected to start soon. This recruitment is being considered a big opportunity especially for 10th pass candidates. Because the minimum educational qualification for Group D posts is relatively less.

Youth willing to work on Group D posts of Railway Board will be able to apply online from 21 January 2026. Last date of application is 20th February 2026. Candidates who have passed 10th/ITI can apply through regional RRB websites. As per RRB Group D Short Notice 2026, the board has approved the recruitment of eligible candidates for approximately 22,000 Level-1 vacancies. 11,000 vacancies are reserved for Track Maintainer Grade IV post alone.

Notification will be issued in the last week

RRB Group D 2026 notification is expected to be released officially in the fourth week of December 2025. As per the short notice, the vacancy will have posts like Track Maintainer Grade IV, Pointsman-B and various assistant posts in engineering, electrical and mechanical departments. Shortlisted candidates will be given a starting salary of Rs 18,000.

RRB Group D Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for RRB Group 2026 Vacancy, candidates must ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria set by the Board. Candidates must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) from a recognized board. For some technical posts, ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certificate or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by NCVT/SCVT is mandatory.

The age limit for general category candidates is generally 18 to 33 years. However, age relaxation will be given to reserved category candidates.

• First of all candidates go to the official regional RRB website of RRB.
• Click on “CEN 2026 Group D” link on the homepage.
• Register using your mobile number and email ID.
• Fill personal and educational details.
• Upload the scanned photograph and signature in the required formats. Pay the application fee (Rs. 500 for General/OBC and Rs. 250 for SC/ST/Women/Ex-Servicemen).
• Submit the form and keep its printout with you.
