In Pakistan, showing a mirror to the government led by PM Shehbaz Sharif and the army led by Pakistan Field Marshal Asim Munir, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman criticized the Pakistani government and Army Chief General Asim Munir. The double standards of (Army Chief General Asim Munir) have been exposed. Maulana asked that if Pakistan justifies the action in Afghanistan, then how can India call the attack on terrorist targets inside Pakistan wrong?

Maulana Fazlur Rehman of Lyari, who came into limelight with the Bollywood film Dhurandhar, said that if Pakistan’s attack on Afghanistan is justified then why can’t India enter inside Pakistan and kill the terrorists. In fact, on December 22, an all-party and all-religion meeting was organized in Lyari, Karachi under the auspices of Majlis Ittehad-e-Ummat Pakistan.

While addressing the gathering, Maulana Fazlur Rehman fiercely attacked the Pakistani government and army. Maulana said that ‘If you say that we attacked our enemy in Afghanistan and justify it. Then India tells you that it avenged the Pahalgam attack by attacking terrorist camps in Bahawalpur and Muridke, then why are you objecting to India’s action?

Let us tell you that this statement of Maulana has come at a time when Pakistan’s Afghanistan policy is already under question. He has been continuously criticizing this policy. In October, when tension between the two countries was at its peak, Maulana Fazlur Rehman had also offered to mediate between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Let us tell you that this statement of Maulana given from Lyari is not only creating a stir in the internal politics of Pakistan, but has also started a new debate on regional security and double standards.
