WPL 2026: Delhi Capitals announces new captain of WPL, command handed over to Jemima

New Delhi. Delhi Capitals has announced the new captain ahead of the upcoming season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL). Delhi has made Indian women’s team’s star batsman Jemimah Rodrigues the captain of the team. Jemima will take charge of Delhi in place of Meg Lanning. Under the leadership of Lanning, Delhi team has become the runner-up of the tournament three times. Lanning will now play for the UP Warriors team. UP had bought Lanning for Rs 1.90 crore in the mega auction held for this season.
