Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken the incidents of bear attack near schools of Pokhri block in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand very seriously. CM Dhami showed compassion and agility and took immediate action.

The Chief Minister spoke directly on phone to the student injured in the bear attack. He asked about his well-being and encouraged him and prayed for his speedy recovery.

CM Dhami said that in this difficult time the state government stands completely with the victim’s family. There will be no let-up on every front of treatment and security.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister also spoke on phone to the brave students Divya and Deepika, who showed great courage, wisdom and humanity in that incident. Praising him, the CM said that the courage, patience and responsibility he showed at such a young age is a matter of pride for the entire Uttarakhand and an inspiration for others.

The Chief Minister said that saving the lives of others by risking one’s life in times of trouble is truly an example of amazing bravery. He encouraged the girl students, wished them a good future and said that the state government will always support and encourage such brave children.

Orders for strict security arrangements

CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has given strict instructions to the district administration and forest department to immediately increase patrolling in the affected areas. Strong security arrangements should be made around schools, Anganwadi centers and populated areas. He clearly said that all necessary and effective steps should be taken to ensure that such incidents do not happen again.

The Chief Minister also directed that better treatment should be provided to the injured student and all possible help should be provided to the victim’s family. Officials were instructed to keep constant vigil and instill security confidence among the local people.

CM Dhami stressed that the safety of children is the biggest priority for the state government. The government will work with full commitment and strictness in every situation to protect the life and property of the people.
