CM Patel provided appointment letters to newly appointed 11,607 candidates of Gujarat Police, including more than 3100 women.
Gujarat Govt: Gujarat government has given a big gift to the youth. To further strengthen the internal security and law and order of the state, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Tuesday presented appointment letters to 11,607 newly appointed candidates of Gujarat Police. The program was organized at Ramkatha Maidan located in Sector-11 of Gandhinagar. Gujarat Deputy CM and Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi and Cabinet Minister Kamlesh Patel also participated in the program. Apart from this, senior administrative and police officers participated.
More than 3,100 women were selected
According to media reports, the recruitment process was conducted for a total of 11,899 posts of Lok Rakshak cadre. With merit system and transparency, 11,899 candidates were selected, of which 8,782 are men and 3,117 are women. Till now, document verification of only 11,607 candidates has been completed, due to which they were handed over appointment letters.

Newly appointed policemen will play an important role
The appointment of such a large number of new policemen will strengthen the presence of the state police force. Response capacity in emergency will increase and protection of common people will be more effective. The newly appointed police personnel will play an important role in maintaining law and order in the state, controlling crime and strengthening citizen-centric policing.
