Deepti Sharma Becomes No.1 Bowler in ICC T20I Rankings
The Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma has claimed the No.1 spot in the ICC Women’s T20I bowler rankings for the first time, while South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt has regained the No.1 position in the Women’s ODI Batter Rankings.
The Player of the Series in the Women’s ODI World Cup last month, took a wicket in the opening T20I in Sri Lanka Women’s tour of India 2025 – one that was enough for her to overtake Australia fast bowler Annabel Sutherland with 737 points.

Deepti gained five rating points to tally 737, just one more than Sutherland, who has slipped to second place after holding on to the top spot since August.
Meanwhile, Jemimah Rodrigues also gained in the rankings as she jumped five places to be ranked No.9 among T20I batters.
Rodrigues smashed unbeaten 69 runs off 44 deliveries in India’s chase against Sri Lanka in Visakhapatnam, as she joined Smriti Mandhana (third) and Shafali Verma (tenth).
However, Smriti Mandhana dropped dropped to second among ODI batters as South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt piped her to be ranked No.1 again.

Wolvaardt smashed back-to-back centuries in the three-match series against Ireland at home, which South Africa won 3-0.
Meanwhile, Arundhati Reddy also makes gains up the rankings for T20I bowlers following the home tour against Sri Lanka. Sune Luus also makes significant move in the ICC rankings to 34th spot for ODI batters and improves 11 place to 22nd in the latest rankings for all-rounders following contirbutions with both bat and ball against Ireland.
Ireland’s Arlene Kelly has moved to 27th place on the list for ODI bowlers, while teammates Gaby Lewis (18th spot) and Amy Hunter (28th spot) make eye-catching improvement up the rankings for ODI batters.
