Ravindra Jadeja will play matches for Saurashtra in Vijay Hazare Trophy on the way to 2027 World Cup.

Indian cricket team’s experienced all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja can be seen playing for Saurashtra in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26. According to the report of The Times of India, Jadeja has informed the Saurashtra Cricket Association about his availability and he can play in the matches against Services on 6 January and Gujarat on 8 January. Both these matches will be held in Aloor, Karnataka.

It is being told that this decision has come after the instructions of BCCI, in which the players of the national team have been asked to play at least two matches in the domestic tournament. However, if Jadeja is selected for the ODI series against New Zealand to be played in January, then a change in his plans is also possible.

This availability of Jadeja is being considered as an indication that he is serious about the 2027 ODI World Cup. Earlier, Jadeja was out of the Australia tour, whereas he made a comeback in the home series against South Africa. In that series, he scored 56 runs in three matches and took one wicket.

It is noteworthy that during the Delhi Test against West Indies, Jadeja had expressed his desire to play the 2027 World Cup while talking to the media. He had described it as the “unfinished business” of his career and said that if given a chance, he would like to prove himself with full preparation.

Jadeja’s experience in ODI cricket has been very strong. He has played 260 List-A matches so far, in which he has scored 3911 runs and also taken 293 wickets.
