Stock Market Today: Fall in stock markets, initial business suffered losses due to pressure from IT sector

Mumbai. After two consecutive days of rise, there was a decline in the domestic stock markets in early trade on Tuesday. Major indices opened in the green in the morning but went into decline under pressure from the IT sector. BSE’s 30-share sensitive index Sensex opened with a gain of 122.62 points at 85,690.10 points. At the time of writing, it was down 159.77 points (0.19 percent) at 85,407.71.

After opening with a gain of 32.75 points at 26,205.20 points, the Nifty-50 index of the National Stock Exchange was down 34.75 points or 0.13 percent at 26,137.65 points at the time of writing. Investors remain selling in IT, reality, consumer durables and FMCG groups while there is buying momentum in metal and oil and gas groups.

Infosys, ICICI Bank, Airtel, TCS, Reliance Industries, HCL and Eternal contributed the most to the Sensex fall. HDFC Bank, Bajaj Finance, L&T and UltraTech Cement remain bullish.
