Punjab government’s important discussion on solution to water shortage, adoption of Israel’s technology
Punjab Government: Punjab Housing and Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian today met Fares Saeb, Minister of Israel and Deputy Head of Mission at the Israeli Embassy, at his office at the Punjab Civil Secretariat here today.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the adoption of advanced Israeli technologies in the areas of water conservation and re-use of sewerage water, especially in urban areas of the state.

The Cabinet Minister said that in view of the rapid urbanization and increasing demand for civic services, the State Government has made proper water management and re-use of treated waste water one of its major priorities.
Consideration of recognized practices
Fares Saeb shared his views on Israel’s world-class recognized practices in water efficiency, re-use of treated sewerage water and modern urban infrastructure solutions. Both sides discussed future partnerships including possible technical collaboration and exchange of information to explore the possibilities of practical implementation of such technologies in the cities of Punjab.
Hardeep Singh Mundian invited to visit Israel
Fares Saeb also invited Hardeep Singh Mundian to visit Israel to see these technologies closely and explore ways of deeper cooperation. Apart from this, other topics of mutual understanding and cooperation were also discussed in a cordial and constructive environment.
Will visit Israel soon
The Cabinet Minister assured that he would soon visit Israel to adopt Israeli technologies for the development of the state. Principal Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Department Vikas Garg and other officers were also present in the meeting.
