Heated altercation between Indian captain Ayush Mhatre and Pakistani player

In the Under-19 Asia Cup final played on Sunday at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai, the match between India and Pakistan was not limited to just cricket, but tension was also seen on the field. During the match, there was a heated argument between Indian captain Ayush Mhatre and a Pakistani player, which heated up the atmosphere of the final.

India’s start is very bad

India had to chase a big target of 348 runs, but it had a very bad start. The team suffered a big blow in the third over itself when captain Ayush Mhatre was out after scoring only two runs. Pakistan’s fast bowler Ali Raza bowled a full length ball outside the off stump, on which Mhatre tried to drive. However, the ball went straight into the hands of Farhan Yusuf standing at mid-off and the catch was easy. After this wicket, Ali Raza celebrated vigorously.

When Mhatre was returning to the pavilion after being out, a Pakistani player commented on him. Hearing this the Indian captain stopped and retorted. There was a heated argument between the two players for a few moments, which was later calmed down by the umpire and other players. After this Mhatre was taken out of the field.

Ali Raza sent Vaibhav Suryavanshi to the pavilion

After this incident, the pressure of the Indian team increased further. Ali Raza also sent Vaibhav Suryavanshi to the pavilion, due to which India’s position became weak. After this, Mohammad Syam and Abdul Subhan did not give India a chance to recover from the initial shock by taking one wicket each in consecutive overs. Within seven overs, India lost four important wickets for 59 runs and the team was stuck in a difficult situation.

Before this, Pakistan batted brilliantly and scored a big score. Opener Sameer Minhas performed brilliantly in the final and scored his second century of the tournament. He played an explosive inning of 172 runs in 113 balls and took his team to 347 runs for 8 wickets in 50 overs. This innings was also special because Pakistan had to face defeat by 90 runs against India on this very ground in the group stage.

Indian Under-19 team’s excellent record in Asia Cup

The record of the Indian Under-19 team in the Asia Cup has been excellent. Since the beginning of the tournament, India has won this title eight times. India and Pakistan were joint winners in the tournament played in Malaysia in 2012, when the final match ended in a draw. That was the only occasion when Pakistan captured this trophy.
