New Zealand announces T20I, ODI squads for India tour: Bracewell to lead in ODIs; No Kane Williamson

New Zealand Cricket on Tuesday announced its squads for the One-Day International and T20I series against India in January.

Captain Mitchell Santner was rested for the three-match ODI series while former captain Kane Williamson was also not included. All-rounder Michael Bracewell will lead the side in the 50-over format in Santner’s absence.

Matt Henry, Mark Chapman and Rachin Ravindra have also been rested for the ODI series.

The T20I series against India will be the side’s final opportunity to fine-tune its team combination before the T20 World Cup 2026. The Kiwis have been slotted in Group D along with South Africa, Afghanistan, Canada and United Arab Emirates.
