New Zealand announces team for India tour, Kane Williamson out, this player becomes captain

IND vs NZ: New Zealand cricket team is going to tour India. The 3-match ODI series between the two teams will start from January 11. After this, the 5-match T20 series will start from January 21. Last Tuesday i.e. on 23rd December, the team for both the series was announced by the New Zealand Cricket Board. The name of veteran batsman Kane Williamson is not included in both the teams.

Kane Williamson is out

Veteran Kiwi batsman Kane Williamson will not come on the India tour, he is not available due to giving priority to the SAT20 league starting in South Africa. In such a situation, all-rounder Michael Bracewell will be seen captaining the ODI team. Fast bowler Kyle Jameson is about to make a comeback after recovering from injury. Apart from this, veterans like Will Young, Devon Conway and Glenn Phillips have been included in the ODI team.

Mitchell Santner captain in T20

Mitchell Santner is making a comeback from groin injury, so to give him more rest, he has been selected only in the T20 team. After good performance in domestic cricket, experienced all-rounder James Neesham and spin bowler Ish Sodhi are returning to the T20 team.
