Lookout notice issued against 4 people including Shubham Jaiswal carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 in the codeine cough syrup case.

Lucknow. On Monday, a lookout notice was issued on the report of the Commissionerate Police against four accused, including Shubham Jaiswal, the kingpin of smuggling of codeine-based cough syrup. At the same time, a lookout notice has been issued by Sonbhadra Police against an accused. Now the International Airport and port will be monitored to arrest the accused. DCP Kashi Zone Gaurav Banswal said that this notice has been issued by the Bureau of Immigration on the report of the Commissionerate Police. In this, there is a notice against the leader Shubham Jaiswal, a native of Kayastha Tola of Prahladghat, Divesh Jaiswal, a resident of Khojwan, Akash Pathak, a resident of Siddhamata Lane, Golghar Maidagin, and Amit Jaiswal, a resident of Kazipura Khurd, Sonia.

The other three worked with Shubham in smuggling of cough syrup. From setting up of bogus firms to ordering goods in their name and then consuming them at other places, evidence has been found of smuggling of syrup to Bangladesh. On the other hand, Sonbhadra Police has also issued a lookout notice against another accused, Nishant Kumar Gupta alias Ravi Gupta, resident of Chandni Chowk, Nai Bazar, Bhadohi. According to SP Abhishek Verma, a lookout notice has already been issued against Shubham Jaiswal and Delhi resident Vishal Upadhyay.

Bhola Jaiswal, owner of Shaili Traders, presented in Jaunpur Court. Bhola Prasad Jaiswal, father of Shubham Jaiswal, accused in the codeine cough syrup case and owner of Shaili Traders, was presented by the police in Jaunpur Court on Monday. The CJM court sent him to jail for 14 days judicial custody. Sonbhadra Police had brought Bhola here in the afternoon itself. 12 firms of Jaunpur district have done business of Codeine-Based Cough Syrup worth about Rs 42.5 crore through Bhola Prasad Jaiswal’s firm Shaili Traders. Investigation by the pharmaceutical department revealed that cough syrup had not arrived here and its sale was also shown. Names of many people came to light in this scam.

On November 21, on the complaint of the Drug Inspector, a case was registered in Jaunpur Kotwali against 12 firm operators as well as Shaili Traders owner Bhola Prasad Jaiswal and his son Shubham Jaiswal. SIT is also investigating. Accused Bhola was caught by Sonbhadra Police from Kolkata Airport. Since then he was lodged in jail there. Being wanted by Jaunpur Kotwali Police, he was produced in the court of CJM Shweta Yadav here on Monday. CO City Goldie Gupta said that the court has sent him to judicial custody for 14 days. The police here will now go to Sonbhadra and inquire only.
