The question of Jamia’s BA Honors Social Work semester had gone viral on social media. After which there was a demand for action against the person who set the paper. Jamia Millia has said that after receiving the complaint, it was considered. It was observed that the Jamia Millia professor was negligent and careless. For this reason, he was immediately suspended and an inquiry committee has been formed. Jamia Millia Islamia University administration has also said that the complaints received regarding the content of the examination paper have been taken seriously. According to sources, the investigation will find out why the professor asked such a question in the examination. According to the information, Virendra Balaji, who set the paper, was working as a professor in the Social Work Department of Jamia.

Jamia administration has said that the professor has been asked not to leave the headquarters during the period of suspension. Jamia has said that asking such a question is inappropriate. In this case, the decision to lodge a complaint with the police may increase the difficulties for the professor concerned. The reason is that the question asked in the question paper belongs to the category of hate speech. Recently, the Supreme Court had ordered the governments of all the states to take strict action against those giving hate speech.
