The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has started a serious review of the matter. England Men’s managing director Rob Key said reports of players drinking alcohol during the team’s break in Noosa will also be investigated. However, he clarified that no serious misconduct had come to light and that the break was meant to give the players a rest during the long tournament.
Rob Key said that if there is any complaint that our players were going out and drinking excessively, we will definitely investigate it. It is not acceptable for any international cricket team to have players consume alcohol excessively.
