ISRO Bluebird-2 Launch: Indian Space Research Organization i.e. ISRO has once again proved its dominance in space on Wednesday. ISRO today launched American company AST Spacemobile’s next-generation communication satellite Bluebird Block-2 into Low Earth Orbit (LEO) from its most powerful Rocket Launch Vehicle Mark-3 (LVM3-M6) under a special commercial mission at 8:54 am today. It is equipped with two powerful S200 solid boosters. PM Narendra Modi has congratulated ISRO scientists for this success.

After the 24-hour countdown was completed, the 43.5 meter high rocket successfully lifted off with an American satellite on the heaviest launch vehicle LVM3-M6 from the second launch pad in Sriharikota at 8.55 am. According to ISRO, the launch of communications satellite LVM 3, weighing 6,100 kg, became the heaviest payload ever to be placed in low Earth orbit (LEO) in history. Earlier, the heaviest payload was LVM3-M5 communication satellite-03, which weighed about 4,400 kg and which ISRO successfully launched on November 2.
On this success of ISRO, PM Modi wrote in X Post on Wednesday, “A huge leap in India’s space sector… The successful launch of LVM3-M6, which carried the heaviest satellite ever launched from Indian soil, USA’s Blue Bird Block-2 spacecraft, into its designated orbit, is a proud milestone in India’s space journey. It strengthens India’s heavy-lift launch capability and further enhances our role in the global commercial launch market.” It also shows our efforts towards self-reliant India. India is continuously scaling heights in the world of space!”
