Cold is severe in northern Rajasthan, while there is relief in southern and central parts. According to meteorologists, the period of rain and snowfall has started in Jammu-Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. In such a situation, in the coming days, the effect of cold in the plains may become more intense due to the flow of cold winds from the Himalayas.

The problem of air pollution is continuously increasing in the capital Delhi. The air quality index (AQI) reached the dangerous ‘severe’ level due to dense fog and smog on Tuesday morning. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi’s average AQI was recorded at 414 at 7 am. In many areas, AQI reached ‘Severe Plus’ level above 450, which is considered extremely harmful to health. The most serious situation was in Anand Vihar, where AQI was recorded at 466. Dense fog reduced visibility to near zero, delaying operations of many flights and trains. It is known that strict restrictions are in force in Delhi-NCR under Grape-4. In this, there is a ban on construction works, ban on entry of vehicles and 50 percent employees have been asked to come to the office.
