High-level technical education will be available in health science and engineering universities: CM Nitish

Patna. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said on Wednesday that Bihar Health Sciences University and Bihar Engineering University have been established to provide high level technical education to the boys and girls of the state.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today inspected the under-construction buildings of Bihar Health Sciences University and Bihar Engineering University in Mithapur. During the inspection, the Chief Minister was met by Dr. Pratima S., Secretary, Department of Science, Technology and Technical Education. Verma gave information related to the construction work of the building of Bihar Engineering University and Health Department Secretary Lokesh Kumar Singh.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said during the inspection that Bihar Health Sciences University and Bihar Engineering University were established to provide high level technical education to the boys and girls of Bihar. He directed the concerned officials to complete the construction work of all the structures under construction of Bihar Health Sciences University and Bihar Engineering University in a better and faster manner.

He said that major educational institutions like Chandragupta Management Institute, Aryabhatta Knowledge University, NIFT, Chanakya Law University and Maulana Mazharul Haq Arabic and Persian University have been built in this area of ​​Mithapur. This whole area has become quite nice. With the completion of the construction work of these two universities, this area will look even better. It is noteworthy that Bihar Engineering University was established by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on 27 July 2022 and 05 acres of land was allotted in Mithapur, Patna for the construction of its building. The main building will have 04 floors. Its total built up area is 1,11,732 square feet. Dean’s office, Registrar’s office, cafeteria and other offices are being built on its ground floor, Vice Chancellor’s office, meeting hall and evaluation center are being built on the first floor. On the second floor, office rooms, evaluation center, storehouse etc., five archives, storehouses etc. are being built on the third floor and evaluation center and two big multipurpose halls are being built on the fourth floor. Besides, a guest house is also being constructed in this complex, in which eight rooms and four suite rooms are to be constructed. A caretaker residence is also being constructed here. As an ambitious scheme with the aim of providing quality medical education in the state, the construction work of a new building of Bihar Health Sciences University established under Saat Nishchay-2 scheme is being done. The total area of ​​the building is 27567 square meters.

The project has two parts. The first part is the main university building, whose total area is 12,645 square meters, which includes administrative cum academic building, examination room, dispensary, multipurpose platform, waiting room, information center, enrollment branch, Chancellor’s room, training cum placement branch, etc. and the second part is the annex building, whose total area is 14922 square meters, under which arrangements have been made for the Vice-Chancellor’s residence, university guest house and multipurpose auditorium.

During the inspection, Water Resources cum Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit, Secretary of Science, Technical and Technical Education Department Dr. Pratima S. Verma, Health Department Secretary Lokesh Kumar Singh, Chief Minister’s Secretary Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, Bihar Medical Services and Infrastructure Corporation Limited Managing Director Nilesh Ramchandra Devre, District Magistrate Dr. Thyagarajan SM, Bihar Engineering University Vice Chancellor Dr. Suresh Kant Verma, Bihar Health Sciences University Vice Chancellor Dr. Binde Kumar and other senior officials were present.
