Indonesian bowler creates history in T20 international match
New Delhi 24 December 2025: History made in T20 international match Indonesia’s fast bowler Gede Priyandana created history in T20 international cricket by taking five wickets in one over against Cambodia. 28-year-old Gede Priyandhana has become the first bowler to take five wickets in an over in a T20 international match in men’s and women’s cricket.
It is noteworthy that Priyandana took five wickets in her first over of the match. In fact, the match between Indonesia and Cambodia was a draw. Cambodia needed 62 runs in the last five overs to win, with five wickets left.

Gede Priyandana took a hat-trick
Then the Indonesian captain handed the ball to Priyandana, which dashed Cambodia’s hopes. Priyandana completed her hat-trick by dismissing Shah Abrar Hussain, Nirmaljit Singh and Chanthion Ratnak in the first three balls.
Then Priyandana bowled the dot ball. Then fast bowler Mongada Sokne was out. Then Priyandana bowled a wide ball and then gave victory to Indonesia by dismissing Pel Vanaka. Cambodia was all out for 107 runs and Indonesia won the match by 60 runs.

In T20 cricket, Ged Priyandana became the third bowler to take five wickets in an over. Earlier, Amin Hussain and Abhimanyu Mithu had achieved this feat.
Hussain, while playing for UCB-BCB XI in the 2013-14 Vijay Diwas T20 Cup, took five wickets in one over against Abahani Limited. Mithun achieved this feat against Haryana while playing for Karnataka in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2019-20.
There have been 14 such incidents in international cricket when a bowler has taken four wickets in an over. However, this is the first time that a bowler has taken five wickets in an over.
