Severe winter continues, fog and cold day alert in MP for next two days
Bhopal . Severe winter continues in Madhya Pradesh. The temperature in the state is expected to fall by 2 to 3 degrees in the next 24 hours. A warning of moderate to very dense fog and cold day has been issued in the state during the next two days. The Meteorological Department says that due to snowfall in Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh is experiencing severe winter. The cold will become more intense from Wednesday night. Currently, Pachmarhi-Kalyanpur are such where the night temperature is below 5 degrees.
Dense fog is also being seen in many districts of the state. Especially in Gwalior, Rewa and Satna, visibility has reached 50 to 200 meters, which is like ‘zero vision’. Dense fog is also seen in the morning in Damoh, Khajuraho, Naugaon, Morena, Sidhi, Datia, Indore, Bhopal, Rajgarh, Ujjain, Shajapur, Sehore, Dewas, Bhind, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Panna, Satna, Rewa, Maihar, Mauganj, Singrauli, Shahdol. In many districts, visibility was so low that driving on the road was becoming difficult. The effect of cold will increase after Christmas. The Meteorological Department said that the minimum temperature may drop by 2 to 3 degrees.
Here, a decline has been recorded in the night temperature again. Talking about 5 big cities, it was 7.4 degrees in Bhopal, 6.4 degrees in Indore, 8.5 degrees in Gwalior, 9.8 degrees in Ujjain and 8.9 degrees in Jabalpur. Pachmarhi, the only hill station of the state, was the coldest. The temperature here was recorded at 4.2 degrees. 4.6 degrees in Kalyanpur of Shahdol, 5.7 degrees in Mandsaur, 6 degrees in Rewa, Khajuraho-Umaria, 6.1 degrees in Shajapur, 6.6 degrees in Naugaon-Rajgarh, 6.9 degrees in Datia, 7.5 degrees in Malajkhand, 7.6 degrees in Satna, 8 degrees in Shivpuri, 8.5 degrees in Raisen, 8.5 degrees in Damoh-Mandla. The mercury was 8.6 degrees, 9.2 degrees in Narsinghpur, 9.6 degrees in Khargone, 9.7 degrees in Betul and 9.8 degrees Celsius in Chhindwara.
