Preparation of medical colleges in Dhar and other districts

CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said that in August this year, contracts were signed to establish four new medical colleges in Betul, Katni, Dhar and Panna. Today the foundation stone of Dhar and Betul was laid. Soon the foundation stone of medical colleges will be laid in Katni and Panna also. After this, there are preparations to establish medical colleges in Bhind, Morena, Khargone, Ashoknagar, Guna, Balaghat, Tikamgarh, Sidhi and Shajapur. This medical college is being built on 25 acres of land in Dhar at a cost of Rs 260 crore. Swami Vivekananda Shiksha Dham Foundation has collaborated with the state government in this project.

Improvement in medical education and health facilities

The Chief Minister said that till the year 2002-03 there were only 5 medical colleges in the state, now their number has increased to 33. In the last two years, 6 new government medical colleges have been started, including medical colleges in the tribal areas of Singrauli and Sheopur. 354 posts of senior resident doctors have been approved in the state. Under the Sickle Cell Anemia campaign, 1 crore 25 lakh people have been screened, of which more than 15 lakh people were screened in Dhar.

Dhar received many gifts

The Chief Minister said that Dhar district has been awarded a total of 93 development works costing Rs 626 crore. This includes schools, hostels, girls stadium, roads, law colleges and primary health centres. Bhoomipujan of Geeta Bhavan, to be built at a cost of Rs 15 crore, was performed. Bhoomipujan was also performed for 26 boys and girls hostels in Dhar-Manawar-Gandhwani and Kukshi. Approval of Rs 18,036 crore has been given for the Indore-Manmad Railway Line Project.

Innovation and convenience in health services

The Chief Minister mentioned about PM Shri Air Ambulance Service, free treatment through Ayushman Card, expansion of dead bodies in district and civil hospitals and Rahveer Yojana. To encourage organ donation, the tradition of guard of honor for body donors and their families was started.

Union Minister Nadda congratulated

Union Minister J.P. Nadda described the bhoomi pujan of the medical college in Dhar as a historic occasion. He said that under the leadership of PM Modi, there have been major changes in the health system of the country and this first medical college on PPP mode is giving new leadership in the country. He appreciated the initiative of the Foundation and said that with the opening of a medical college in Dhar, doctors will reach every village and the PG doctors coming out from here will contribute to the service of the state.

New beginning of development from the land of Dhar

Senior MLA and State President Hemant Khandelwal said that a historic beginning is being made for the development of the state from the land of Dhar. By building medical colleges and hospitals on PPP mode, every poor and needy will get better treatment. Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya also addressed the public meeting. Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, Union Minister Savitri Thakur, Organization General Secretary Hitanand Sharma, senior leader Vikram Verma and local public representatives were present in the program.
