Hi-tech fake petrol pump was running in the house, receipt was also available, secret revealed in the raid!
In Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, the supply department team has caught such a fraud, which everyone will be stunned to hear. Defying safety rules, a person had operated an illegal diesel pump inside his house. This business was going on in Bhaiyangala village of Mundhapande police station area, where diesel was being sold by installing dispensing machines without any license or NOC.
This illegal pump was in a densely populated area and computer generated receipts were also being given to the customers. When the District Supply Officer received secret information, the team conducted a raid. After reaching the spot, the officers were surprised, because tanks and machines like real petrol pumps were installed there. The department immediately took action, seized the machine and seized about 950 liters of diesel.
An FIR has been registered against the main accused Tanveer in this case. This whole matter was very dangerous for security, because keeping such a large quantity of flammable items in a residential area was like inviting a major accident.
Complete story of hi-tech setup and raid
Investigation by the supply department revealed that accused Tanveer had completely converted his house into a professional petrol pump. Regional Food Officer Anand Prabhu Singh said that two tanks with a capacity of 950-950 liters were found on the spot. To make the illegal business look real, a modern dispensing unit was installed, in which diesel was filled in cans or vehicles through pipes and nozzles.
Before the raid, the department sent a dummy customer to get the diesel purchased and confirmed. After that the team raided. The operator did not have any valid document, license or NOC from the District Magistrate. Many sales slips were also seized, which show that this business was going on on a large scale.
Big question on police investigation and security
SP City Kumar Ranvijay Singh confirmed the matter and said that a case is being registered at Mundhapande police station on the complaint of the supply department. The supply department and the police are now finding out from where the accused used to bring diesel on such a large scale and for how long was this setup going on.
The biggest threat is to security, because such illegal storage in a densely populated area was like a ‘time bomb’. Officials suspect that diesel was also being adulterated for more profits. Therefore, samples have been taken and sent to the forensic lab.
