What is the new flight of India-Bangladesh friendship? The secret of 50 thousand tons of rice.

News India Live, Digital Desk: Bangladesh is emphasizing on improving its relations with India. Financial advisor of the neighboring country, Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed has especially emphasized that Bangladesh does not want to spoil its relations with a big country like India, but wants to strengthen them further. He has also informed that Bangladesh is going to buy 50 thousand tonnes of rice from India. In fact, in recent times, there was some sourness in the relations between India and Bangladesh. Some anti-India sentiments were also seen emerging in Bangladesh and visa services between the two countries were also temporarily suspended. In such a situation, this statement of Ahmed, the finance advisor of the interim government of Bangladesh, is very important. He made it clear that the interim government does not support any kind of rhetoric against India. Such actions and statements are completely political. Ahmed said that the Chief Advisor of the Interim Government of Bangladesh, Mohammad Yunus himself is talking to different people to build better diplomatic relations with India. He says that economic cooperation between the two countries will be given priority and it will be kept separate from political rhetoric. The decision to purchase 50,000 tonnes of non-Basmati rice from India is a step in this direction. Bangladesh is in need of grains right now and buying rice from India will also be economically beneficial for them, because it can be expensive from countries like Vietnam. This purchase will help in meeting the country’s food security and growing consumer demand. Overall, Bangladesh wants to show that it considers India an important neighbor and trading partner, with which improving relations is its priority.
