Controversial Question in Jamia: Jamia Millia Islamia University is again embroiled in controversies. A controversy has started over a question asked by the university in the examination. Actually, a strange question was asked in the semester one examination of BA Social Work Department. It was asked in the question paper, ‘Explain the atrocities on Muslim minorities in India with examples? There was an uproar after the picture of this question went viral on social media.

After the matter escalated, Professor Virendra Balaji of the Department of Social Work has been suspended. Apart from this, Jamia University has also formed a committee to investigate the matter.

Actually, BA examination is going on in Jamia Millia Islamia University. In this, anger is also being seen among the people regarding the questions asked in the social work examination. In this case, the university administration has suspended Professor Virendra Balaji of the Department of Social Work. In this matter, the university has constituted an inquiry committee, which will investigate the matter. Meanwhile, Professor Virendra Balaji will remain suspended until the investigation is completed.

Committee formed within 24 hours

Professor Saima Saeed says that an inquiry committee has been formed within 24 hours to investigate this entire matter. He said that until the investigation is completed, the professor of the concerned department has been suspended. On the other hand, after the question went viral on social media, Hindu organizations have opened a front. Hindu organizations are continuously protesting from social media to around the university campus. Strict action is being demanded against the professor and the university administration.

Police have taken university students into custody

Earlier, several students of Jamia Millia Islamia were detained during a protest march organized to mark the completion of 17 years of the encounter in Delhi’s Batla House area. Student organization All India Students Association had alleged that the detention was tantamount to kidnapping. The university administration was also accused of collusion with the officials. In a statement, students’ organization AISA alleged that 20 students, including girl students, were dragged into the campus and handed over to police personnel waiting outside Gate No. 7.
