Sakibul Gani Slams Fastest List A Century in Vijay Hazare Trophy

The Bihar state captain, Sakibul Gani, along with wk-batter Ayush Loharuka, made a major world record in List A cricket during their Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 clash against Arunachal Pradesh on December 24.

The Bihar batters displayed a brilliant performance in the first innings of their clash against the Arunachal side.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi has slammed a stunning 190 runs off 84 deliveries while wk-batter Loharuka smashed 116 runs off 56 deliveries, which included 11 fours and eight sixes.

Apart from them, Piyush Kumar Singh made a valuable contribution with his billiant 77 run knock of 66 deliviers, which included seven fours and two sixes. Meanwhile, Sakibul Gani went unbeaten 128 runs off 40 deliveries.

Sakibul Gani has slammed the fastest century by an Indian in List A cricket. He slammed century off just 32 deliveries, breaking the previous breaking record of 35 deliveries by Anmolpreet Singh.

Arunachal Pradesh will be needing 575 runs to secure a win against Bihar in the Vijay Hazare game.

Meanwhile, Ishan Kishan has also slammed a jaw-dropped hundred. He hit a century off just 33 balls in Jharkhand’s clash against Gujarat in the domestic premier competitionas he put up a blistering performance with the willow in hand.

Bihar put up a biggest score in the history of List A cricket. The previous record belonged to Tamil Nadu, who had slammed 506/2 against Arunachal Pradesh in 2022.

They went on to score past the mark as they made 574/6 against the same team in 2025.
