RO-KO will not stop, Rohit and Virat scored centuries in Vijay Hazare Trophy

Indian cricket team’s strong batsmen Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have come to play in the Vijay Hazare Trophy this time. Rohit Sharma is playing for Mumbai team while Virat Kohli is playing for his Delhi team. Earlier, BCCI had said that it is mandatory for all the players of the Indian team to play at least 2 matches. Both the batsmen who entered this tournament have already shown that the fire inside them is still there by scoring centuries in the first matches. Rohit Sharma, who scored 155 runs against Sikkim, was chosen man of the match. At the same time, Virat Kohli, who is called Chase Master, has also given the message by scoring a brilliant century against Andhra Pradesh that he is not going anywhere right now.

BCCI wanted that all the players should play in Vijay Hazare Trophy and be in good touch. This pair of Ro-Co has already shown in the very first match that their form is strong and they are going to make a big splash in the ODI series against New Zealand.

 

Rohit Sharma became man of the match

 

Batting first against Mumbai, Sikkim team could score only 236 runs. In reply, Mumbai’s opener Rohit Sharma, who came to bat, opened his hands fiercely. Rohit made a partnership of 141 runs for the first wicket with Angkrish Raghuvanshi. Angkrish Raghuvanshi was out after scoring 38 runs on 58 balls but Rohit’s bat did not stop.

When Angkrish Raghuvanshi was out in the 20th over, Mumbai’s score had reached 141 runs. Rohit Sharma continued batting aggressively and scored 155 runs in 94 balls with the help of 18 fours and 9 sixes. Sarfaraz Khan scored 8 runs on 5 balls and Musheer Khan scored 27 runs on 16 balls and gave Mumbai victory by 7 wickets.

 

Kohli led Delhi to victory

 

Andhra Pradesh team had scored 298 runs losing 8 wickets in 50 overs due to the century of Ricky Bhui and short innings of many other batsmen. For Delhi, Simarjeet Singh took 5 wickets for 54 runs in 10 overs and Prince Yadav took 3 wickets for 50 runs in 10 overs.

In reply, Delhi, who came to bat, looked relaxed from the beginning because they had chase master Virat Kohli. Opener Priyansh Aryan gave an explosive start and scored 74 runs in 44 balls. However, opener Arpit Rana was out on the score of 0 runs in the very first over. Virat Kohli, who came one down, batted fiercely for his team. By the time he was out after scoring 131 runs in 101 balls, Delhi’s victory was assured.

 

Kohli broke Sachin’s record

 

Virat Kohli broke the record of legendary Sachin Tendulkar by completing 16000 runs in the fewest innings in List A cricket while playing against Andhra Pradesh. Kohli reached this milestone in just 330 innings whereas Sachin Tendulkar achieved this feat in 391 innings.

 

37 year old Virat Kohli, playing for Delhi, now holds the record of scoring 10000 to 16000 runs in the least number of innings in List A. Kohli has been playing in the Vijay Hazare Trophy after 15 years but his record in this tournament is excellent. He has scored 819 runs in 13 Vijay Hazare Trophy matches at an average of 68.25 and a strike rate of 106, which includes four centuries and three half-centuries.
