Sold out within 24 hours! Customers pounce on Mini Cooper Convertible, long queues formed despite the price

New Delhi: The market for luxury cars in India may be considered limited, but the Mini Cooper Convertible has challenged this notion with its tremendous popularity. As soon as it was launched on December 12, 2025, this premium open-top car created history and its first lot was completely sold out within just 24 hours.

Despite the price of Rs 58.50 lakh (ex-showroom), the enthusiasm of the customers was clearly visible. This car has come fully imported to India and is being sold as CBU (Completely Built Unit). The brisk sales have proved that there is no dearth of buyers in the country who like style, performance and luxury.

The response was more than expected

Mini India was definitely expecting a good response from the Mini Cooper Convertible, but such fast sales surprised even the company. After the first consignment was completely sold, the company has reopened the booking for the next consignment. It is believed that the delivery of new bookings will start early next year. This clearly indicates that the craze for open-top and sporty cars is gradually increasing in India.

Powerful engine and great performance

Mini Cooper Convertible has a 2.0 liter turbo petrol engine, which is known for excellent power and smooth driving. This engine generates power of 201 bhp and torque of 300 Nm. It comes with a 7-speed automatic gearbox, which further improves the driving experience. This car accelerates from 0 to 100 km per hour in just 6.9 seconds, while its top speed is 240 km per hour.

India’s cheapest convertible car

With a price of Rs 58.50 lakh, Mini Cooper Convertible is currently considered to be the cheapest convertible car in India. Its nearest competitor in this segment is MG Cyberstay, which is priced much higher than it.

Mini also provides its customers with 2 years unlimited warranty and 24-hour roadside assistance, providing a premium experience as well as reliability.

Mini’s identity intact in design

The design of the Mini Cooper Convertible completely maintains the iconic identity of the company. Round LED headlamps, new front grille, stylish alloy wheels and distinctive LED taillights at the rear make it stand out on the road. The open-top design makes it more attractive and sporty.

There is direct competition with these cars

Mini Cooper Convertible is expected to compete with premium SUVs like Audi Q3, BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLS. Apart from this, it also challenges fast cars like Skoda Octavia RS.

On the basis of style, easy driving and powerful features, this car is making its special place in the segment of luxury compact SUV and some sporty cars.
