The first-look teaser of **Maisa**, the film starring **Rashmika Mandanna** in her boldest role till date, was released on December 23-24, 2025, which has created a huge stir on social media.
Directed by debut director **Ravindra Pulle** and produced by Unformula Films, this emotional action thriller is set in the backdrop of the Gond tribal areas. The 1 minute 21 second teaser begins with a mother’s heart-wrenching voice: “They said my daughter died… but even death could not kill her,” telling the story of rebellion amidst fierce fire and unwavering anger.
Rashmika is seen bloodied, injured, partially handcuffed, holding a shotgun and letting out a thunderous roar – showing her tremendous intensity and brutality. Stunning visuals, powerful music by Jacques Bejoy and international stunt choreography by Andy Long promise high-octane action.
Sharing the teaser on Instagram, Rashmika captioned: “Maisa. This is just the beginning… the real thing? Ohhohohohoho you’ll see it in a few months. So enjoy! #RememberTheName.”
**Maisa**, which is touted to be a pan-India female-led action film, features a supporting cast including Guru Somasundaram and Easwari Rao. The film is currently being shot in the forests of Telangana and Kerala, and is scheduled to release in theaters in 2026.
After hits like Pushpa 2, Animal, Chhaava, Kubera, Thamma and the success of The Girlfriend on OTT, this transformative performance of Rashmika makes Maasa one of her most awaited projects.
