Actor Naveen Kaushik, who is playing the role of ‘Donga’ with Ranveer Singh and Akshay Khanna in Dhurandhar, gave his reaction to Dhruv Rathee’s video in an interview to SCREEN.
On the question asked regarding Dhruv Rathi’s video, Naveen Kaushik said, "He is a stubborn person. I am attached to this film, obviously I don’t agree with it."After this he said sarcastically, "They got some views because of us, congratulations." Earlier, TV actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee had also expressed her displeasure on Dhruv Rathi. While sharing a post on social media platform X, he wrote,"I try my best to ignore your nasty videos and tweets. Don’t know why X got my response. well. Stop thinking about Dhurandhar." Why did Dhruv Rathi call the film ‘dangerous propaganda?’
On Saturday, Dhruv Rathi had released a video on Dhurandhar, titled ‘Reality of Dhurandhar’. In this video he "false and disinformation" Stating that he alleged that director Aditya Dhar has tried to sell lies through the film.
Dhruv Rathi said,"Well-made propaganda is more dangerous. He further claimed that what makes the film dangerous is that it is said to be inspired by real events. According to him, the film’s use of real footage of the 26/11 attacks, real audio recordings of terrorists and their handlers and characters based on the Lyari area of Pakistan makes it more impactful.
‘Dhurandhar’ performing brilliantly at the box office
Amidst the controversies, Dhurandhar is performing tremendously at the box office. According to trade website Sacnilk, the film has so far earned around ₹ 589.50 crore in India.
This spy action thriller, released on December 5, stars Ranveer Singh, Akshay Khanna, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Rampal are seen in important roles. The second part of the film is going to be released in theaters on 19 March 2026.
