Another historic achievement of ISRO: World’s heaviest satellite Bluebird Block-2 mission launched with LVM3-M6 rocket

New Delhi24 December. The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on Wednesday achieved another historic feat and launched the Bluebird Block-2 mission at 8.55 am from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota. In this mission, the powerful LVM3-M6 rocket successfully placed the Bluebird Block-2 satellite of American company AST Spacemobile in ‘Low Earth Orbit’.

This is the sixth operational flight of this rocket (LVM3-M6) and the heaviest payload in its history so far at 6100 kg. This 43.5 meter high rocket, after a flight of about 15 minutes, released the satellite in a circular orbit with 53 degree inclination at an altitude of 520 kilometers.

This mission was launched under the agreement between NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) and AST Spacemobile. This mission will deploy the world’s largest commercial communications satellite in Low Earth Orbit (LEO), providing high-speed internet to ordinary smartphones directly from space.

PM Modi praised, said – a big leap in India’s space sector…

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi described this success of ISRO as a proud moment. He said in the ‘X’ post, ‘A huge leap in India’s space sector… The successful launch of LVM3-M6, which carried the heaviest satellite ever launched from Indian soil, USA’s Blue Bird Block-2 spacecraft into its intended orbit, is a proud milestone in India’s space journey.’

‘India is continuously touching heights in the world of space’

PM Modi said, ‘This strengthens India’s heavy-lift launch capability and further cements our growing role in the global commercial launch market. It also shows our efforts towards self-reliant India. Congratulations to our hardworking space scientists and engineers. India is continuously touching heights in the world of space!

,with the power of youth Our space program is becoming more advanced and effective,

In another post, the Prime Minister said, ‘With the strength of India’s youth, our space program is becoming more advanced and effective. With LVM3 demonstrating reliable heavy-lift performance, we are strengthening the foundation for future missions like Gaganyaan, expanding commercial launch services, and deepening global partnerships. This increased capacity and boost to self-reliance is great for future generations.

Many countries failed in their mission

Interestingly, this is the sixth flight of ISRO’s LVM3 series with 100 per cent success, which has already launched 72 satellites of Chandrayaan-2, Chandrayaan-3 and OneWeb. Bluebird Block-2 mission will bring many important changes in mobile network connectivity. This success of ISRO is also special because many other countries had faced major setbacks during such space missions. He had done a lot of preparation for the space mission, but he suffered a major setback at the time of launch. The names of Brazil, Japan, South Korea are prominent in this.

UP CM Yogi said – ‘Proud moment for India’,

This historic achievement of ISRO was also praised by the Chief Ministers of many states of the country and described it as a moment of pride for India in the space sector. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath called it a proud moment. He wrote, ‘Proud moment for India! Hearty congratulations to the entire ISRO team on the successful launch of LVM3-M6, which placed the Blue Bird Block-2 satellite into Low Earth Orbit. This historic mission reflects India’s growing global position in space technology, made possible by the visionary leadership and continued guidance of PM Modi. ISRO will continue to inspire the nation and strengthen India’s role as a trusted space partner for the world.’

,Flag of ‘New India’ waving in space – Dr. Mohan Yadav

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav wrote, ‘The flag of ‘New India’ is flying in space! ISRO has once again introduced India’s scientific capability, skill and confidence to the world by successfully launching Blue Bird Block-2 spacecraft through LVM3-M6 rocket. Hearty congratulations to the entire ISRO team for this historic achievement. It is the result of the visionary leadership of PM Modi that India is fast moving towards becoming a space superpower today.
