Union Minister Nitin Gadkari recently found himself in a remarkable proximity to a major international incident when he attended the inauguration of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran. At this high-profile ceremony, Gadkari shared the stage with various global dignitaries, including Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of Hamas. Just hours after this event, Haniyeh was assassinated in Tehran in what Iranian and Hamas officials attributed to an Israeli strike.

Haniyeh’s death occurred early on July 31, reportedly by an explosive device or a missile strike in his accommodation, following his participation in the inauguration ceremony.This assassination has significantly heightened tensions in the already volatile Middle East, with Iran’s Supreme Leader vowing retaliation against Israel  Israel has since publicly acknowledged its responsibility for the killing of Haniyeh his event unfolded closely after another Israeli operation targeting a prominent Hezbollah commander in Beirut.
