The Chief Minister shouldered the mortal remains of late Shukla and bid him an emotional last farewell.
Raipur News: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today reached the residence of senior litterateur and Jnanpith awardee late Vinod Kumar Shukla in Shailendra Nagar of the capital Raipur and paid tribute to him by having his last darshan. The Chief Minister paid homage to his mortal remains by offering a floral wreath and prayed to God for the peace of his departed soul.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai gave an emotional last farewell to late Shukla by shouldering his mortal remains. He met the bereaved family members and expressed his deepest condolences and wished to provide strength to countless readers and literature lovers to bear this immense grief.

Chief Minister Sai said that the Hindi literary world has suffered an irreparable loss due to the demise of Vinod Kumar Shukla, the great litterateur born from the soil of Chhattisgarh. His works are a unique example of sensitivity, human concerns and simple but profound expression.
