Football star Cristiano Ronaldo has purchased two luxury villas in an exclusive island reserve in the Red Sea.
The three-bedroom and two-bedroom villas are located at Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, an ultra-exclusive and sustainability-focused resort on Saudi Arabia’s Ummahat Islands. The private destination is accessible only by boat or seaplane, according to a report by The Sun. Each property is estimated to cost around £3.5 million (US$4.7 million).
“The Red Sea is a truly extraordinary place. From our first visit, Georgina and I felt a connection with the island and its natural beauty—it’s a place where we feel at peace. Now that we have a home here, we can enjoy quality time with the family in total privacy and serenity whenever we want,” Ronaldo said, mentioning his fiáncee, as quoted by Mark.
Nujuma is regarded as one of the most exclusive resort developments in the Middle East, with nightly rates reported to exceed $20,000.
At age 40, Ronaldo is estimated to have a net worth of about US$1.4 billion and was named the world’s first billionaire footballer by Bloomberg in October.
He topped Forbes list of the world’s 10 highest-paid athletes in 2025, with combined on- and off-field earnings estimated at $280 million, more than double those of second-ranked Lionel Messi.
Ronaldo has won five Ballon d’Or awards and major international titles with Portugal, including the Euro 2016 championship and two UEFA Nations League trophies. He also holds the all-time career goals record, with 954 goals.
