Yashasvi Jaiswal fell ill before IPL, what happened? came to know

Indian cricket team’s young batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal had to be admitted to the hospital on Tuesday due to severe stomach pain. Yashasvi Jaiswal was playing for Mumbai against Rajasthan in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in Pune. Mumbai had won the match by three wickets and shortly after this match he was admitted to the hospital. Doctors have advised him to rest and take medicines.

 

According to the report of Times of India, Yashasvi Jaiswal was suffering from gastroenteritis i.e. inflammation in the lining of the stomach and intestines. It is also often called stomach flu and is caused by viruses or bacteria. Yashasvi Jaiswal’s health suddenly deteriorated on Tuesday evening and after that he was admitted to the hospital. After being taken to the hospital, Yashasvi Jaiswal was given medicines through drip and ultrasound and CT scan was also done. Doctors have advised him to take rest.

Was ill even during the match

According to the report of Times of India, Yashasvi Jaiswal had stomach ache during the match against Rajasthan in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Super League. However, despite the pain, he took part in this important match and also scored 15 runs in 16 balls. Yashasvi Jaiswal was having stomach cramps during the match, which increased significantly after the match. BCCI has not yet issued any official statement regarding the health of Yashasvi Jaiswal.

 

Fell ill during IPL auction

The auction of players for the India Premier League (IPL) 2026 was going on in Abu Dhabi on 16 December. The news of the auction remained in the headlines the whole day and meanwhile Yashasvi Jaiswal was admitted to the hospital. Yashasvi Jaiswal’s sudden hospitalization has increased the concern of his fans and team management. Yashasvi Jaiswal will be seen playing for Rajasthan Royals again in the upcoming IPL season. It is believed that Yashasvi Jaiswal can also be an alternative to Jadeja for the captaincy of Rajasthan Royals team.

Jaiswal is in form

Yashasvi has been in great form in recent times. In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he has scored 145 runs at an average of 48.33 and strike rate of 168.6. He has also scored a century in these three innings. Apart from this, he also scored his first century in the recent ODI series against South Africa cricket team. Right now Yashasvi is not a part of India’s current T-20 International team. Therefore, he will have enough time to become fully fit before the next international match.
