Narayan Jagadishan will play in place of injured Pant in the fifth test against England Gujarati
New Delhi: The fourth match of the Test series between India and England was played at the Old Trafford ground in Manchester. This test match was a draw due to the aggressive batting of Indian batsmen captain Shubhman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar. However, wicketkeeper Pant was injured in this test. So Pant will not be able to play in the final test match. Now the fifth and final test match between the two teams will be played on July 31 at the Oval ground in London. In this test, Tamil Nadu wicketkeeper-batsman Narayan Jagadeesan has been selected in place of Rishabh Pant.
BCCI had said that Rishabh Pant suffered a fracture in his right leg during the fourth Test match against England in Manchester. Due to which he is out of the final test match of the series. The BCCI medical team is monitoring his treatment, the team is wishing for a speedy recovery. The men’s selection panel has decided to include Narayan Jagadeesan in the team for the fifth test in place of Rishabh Pant.
