After parting ways with Sharad Pawar, Ajit Pawar has defeated his uncle from Maharashtra Assembly elections to the recent local body elections. Ajit Pawar’s NCP had won 54 seats in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Whereas, Sharad Pawar’s NCP-SCP got only 10 seats. Whereas, Ajit Pawar’s NCP won 510 seats in the Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayat elections of Maharashtra. At the same time, Sharad Pawar’s party could win only 190 seats. Recently it was reported that Sharad Pawar was not accepting the alliance between Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray. Besides, he also wants more seats in BMC and Municipal Corporation elections.
