Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri: A film searching for confusion and solution.
So now let’s talk about the film Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri which is such a romantic drama film. Talking about the story of the film, it is completely based on the old and familiar structure. While watching the film, the story, the confusion and resolution of the relationships have been seen in many films before. There is neither freshness in the story nor the depth in the characters that can connect the audience emotionally till the end.
special from the characters part
Kartik Aryan is seen in the role of Ray while Ananya Pandey plays the role of Rumi. Rumi is a resident of Agra and Ray lives in America. The two meet in Croatia, where friendship gradually turns into love while on vacation. The first part of the film is entirely based on romance, travel and songs. The twist in the story comes when the topic of marriage comes up. Rumi refuses to go to America, leaving behind her lonely father, who was a soldier. Ray, on the other hand, is very attached to his mother, who is clear that she only wants an Indian daughter-in-law.
The story revolves around conflict of relationships.
This conflict between parental responsibility and personal relationships forms the basis of the film’s story, but it is presented in a very straightforward and predictable manner. Overall the film follows the same old formula…meeting, distance, love, separation and meeting again. The same emotional ups and downs are repeated again and again in about 2 hours and 25 minutes, due to which the story remains stuck at many places instead of moving forward.
acting wise
Ananya Pandey is seen trying in some scenes and this can be counted among her better serious acting till date. But at many places his acting seems excessive and the emotional scenes become completely overdramatic, due to which the impact is not made.
Kartik Aryan does not seem completely comfortable in this character. In many scenes his acting seems like overacting and his performance seems over-confident and at times irritating. The romantic chemistry between the two actors is also weak, due to which the love story is not able to captivate the audience. Jackie Shroff and Neena Gupta are seen in their familiar style. There is nothing new in their characters that can strengthen the story.
This is the powerful thing in the film
The strongest aspect of the film is its location and visual presentation. The scenes shot in Croatia and Agra look good. The cinematography is clean, the frames are beautiful and the color combinations are attractive. This is the reason why the first part of the film seems worth watching.
