Kite flying banned in Jaipur for 14 days, strict action will be taken against violations; this is the reason
Jaipur News: Security arrangements have been tightened in Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur regarding the celebration of Army Day and the fly-past exercise related to it. For the safety of the general public and to ensure that Army programs are conducted without any hindrance, a ban has been imposed on flying kites in some areas of the city for 14 days. According to the order issued by Jaipur Police Commissionerate, this ban will be effective from January 2, 2026 to January 15, 2026.
How long will the ban last?
The police administration has made it clear that this ban will not be applicable for the whole day but on different dates as per the fixed time. On some days, there will be a ban on kite flying from 2 pm to 5 pm, while on some dates, kite flying will not be allowed from 9 am to 12 noon. There will be a special ban on kite flying on Army Day i.e. 15 January from 9 am to 1 pm.
Why was there a ban on kite flying?
ACP (Law and Order) and Executive Magistrate Dr. Rajiv Pachar told the media that on the occasion of Army Day, fly-past exercise will be conducted in Mahal Road, Hare Krishna Marg and Jagatpura area. During this period, Air Force and Army aircraft will fly at very low altitude. There is a possibility of a large number of spectators arriving at the time of practice and parade, in such a situation the risk of accident may increase due to kite string or other reasons. In view of this, there has been a temporary ban on flying kites within a radius of five kilometers around the parade venue.
Action against those who violate orders
Police have warned that strict legal action will be taken against those who violate the orders. Also, an appeal has been made to the citizens to cooperate with the administration keeping in mind the national interest and security system.
what will the program be like
As part of Army Day programs, a grand parade will be organized on the Mahal Road in Jagatpura on 15th January from 9:30 am on about three kilometer long route. This will include marching contingents from various regimental centres. During the parade, modern weapons like tanks, military vehicles, BrahMos missile will be displayed and fly-past of planes and helicopters will be the center of attraction.
Military exhibition will also be organized
Apart from this, a military exhibition will be held at Bhavani Niketan Ground from 8th to 12th January and ‘Shaurya Sandhya’ will be organized at SMS Stadium on the evening of 15th January, in which Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is likely to attend.
