The 164th birth anniversary of Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya was celebrated on Thursday at Malviya Mission Banvasi Hostel located in the premises of Anpara Thermal Project. The chief guest of the program, Chief General Manager of Anpara Thermal Project, Eng JP Katiyar along with other guests offered flowers on the portrait of Malviya ji.

The chief guest of the program, Eng JP Katiyar, explained in detail about the life of Malviya ji, a fierce patriot, freedom fighter, eminent educationist and Bharat Ratna. Among the special guests, MEIL’s Unit Head In SK Dwivedi, General Manager A&B Heating Doodhnath, General Manager D In Prashant Tripathi, Superintending Engineer In SP Yadav also explained in detail about the establishment of Malviya ji’s Banaras Hindu University and other personalities and works.

With the help of the chief guest, special guest and other project officials, woolen blankets and clothes were distributed to the children of the hostel. Eleven thousand rupees were given to the manager of the hostel as financial assistance by Jyoti Punj Mahila Mandal. Banaras Malviya Mission Branch Varanasi President Harsh Singh gave financial support of twenty-five thousand rupees to branch Anpara and patron Subhash Chandra gave financial assistance of one lakh rupees. Woolen blankets were given to all the children of the hostel by project head Engineer JP Katiyar and unit head of MEIL Engineer SK Dwivedi.
