FIR lodged against AAP leaders Saurabh Bhardwaj, Sanjeev Jha and Adil Ahmed Khan
New Delhi. FIR has been registered against three leaders of Aam Aadmi Party, Delhi State President Saurabh Bhardwaj, Burari MLA Sanjeev Jha and Adil Ahmed Khan. All of them are accused of hurting the religious sentiments associated with Christians. Advocate Khushboo George has filed a complaint against AAP leaders with Delhi Police. Actually this whole matter started with a video. According to the complainant, on December 17 and 18, these AAP leaders had posted a video from their official social media accounts. In this video, Santa Claus, the holy symbol of Christianity, was insulted.

The complainant said that the video showed Santa Claus falling unconscious on the road and Santa Claus was used as a prop to give a political message. In the video, Santa Claus was made fun of while performing fake CPR. Also, Santa Claus was shown wearing a mask. The video was part of a political skit organized at Connaught Place. This hurt the sentiments of people who believe in Christianity.

The complainant has alleged that this act was done deliberately before the Christmas festival. The sacred symbols of Christianity were ridiculed for political gain and the faith of Christian people was hurt. Taking seriously the allegations of the complainant, Delhi Police has registered a case against Saurabh Bhardwaj, Sanjeev Jha and Adil Ahmed Khan under sections 299 and 302 of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). Police are now investigating the social media posts and evidence is being collected through digital evidence. After the investigation of the case is completed, further action will be taken against these three Aam Aadmi Party leaders as per law.
