Venus Williams’s Wedding: Tennis star Venus Williams married this Hollywood actor, friends and family had fun on a private yacht for a week.
Florida. Tennis legend Venus Williams and actor Andrea Preti first met at Milan Fashion Week in 2024, an event neither of them planned to go to. “We met at the Gucci show,” Venus recalls. According to Vogue, Andrea spoke to him during an aperitivo, which led to a conversation over WhatsApp and a meeting with his family in London.
“I was on a trip to Lake Como with my sisters when I got a last-minute invite and decided to go on a whim, and Andrea was tired. Neither of us were planning on going there.” As quoted by Vogue, Venus says, “After our dates in London, I just knew I was going to marry him.” Ten days after they met, Venus was diagnosed with adenomyoma.
Andrea accompanied him during his consultation and surgery in Italy. Six months later, on January 31, 2025, they got engaged in Tuscany, with Andrea proposing after a romantic day in a thermal pool. “I couldn’t stop jumping with joy and laughing,” Venus recalls. Their first wedding took place on September 18 in Ischia, Italy, followed by a second ceremony in Palm Beach to honor Venus’s Florida roots.
The week-long celebration included yacht parties, pool parties, sports events and dinners with family and friends. “We love welcoming people into our home every day,” Venus says. According to Vogue, the couple had a private courthouse ceremony on Friday morning, which they described as “beautiful, serene, sacred, exciting and spectacular.”
Venus wore a Morilee New York dress, while Andrea came out with her mom to the Jackson 5’s “I’ll Be There.” The reception included heartfelt vows, a first dance to The Flamingos’ “I Only Have Eyes for You” and a late-night after-party. Venus finally says, “It was the happiest, most beautiful, loveliest day.
