New Delhi: Most auto companies in India are now focusing on launching electric vehicles. Electric vehicles are expected to become hugely popular across the country by 2026. Tata Motors, one of the major auto companies, is launching electric vehicles to strengthen its market position. With this objective, several new EVs are planned for launch in 2026 and beyond, which are expected to be highly competitive.

We are going to tell you about a Sportback model that will be based on the born-electric platform built with Jaguar Land Rover’s new EMA (Electrified Modular Architecture). The Avinya range is also being positioned as a luxury electric brand. Several new SUVs are also expected to make a big impact.

Important details about the car

The Tata Avinya will have a unique look that will attract customers. The company’s Global Design Head, Martin Uhlarik, stated that the first model in the Avinya range will be a Sportback. This will be a 5-door EV with a dynamic and sporty low-slung profile.

It is expected that the overall design will remain similar to the concept model. Martin also said that the design of the Avinya Sportback model has been finalized. This EV is expected to be launched in 2026. Martin provided further details about the Avinya Sportback.

He said that the EV will act as a brand builder for the Avinya range. It’s about creating a good first impression and then building on that with new models. A Sportback model will target a specific segment of users. Tata is confident about sales volume. The initial plan is to produce around 24,000 units annually, which is quite good in a market dominated by SUVs.

Car Features

Tata is also working on a smaller SUV on the Avinya platform. It is expected to be approximately 4.4 meters long. A larger 4.9-meter luxury SUV is also under development. All vehicles in the Avinya range will be based on JLR’s EMA platform. This will make the Avinya range of cars a strong contender in the global market.
