The group that owns Lucknow Super Giants buys one more team Gujarati

RSPG Group, which owns Lucknow Super Giants, has officially purchased 70 percent stake in Manchester Originals. It has been revealed in a media report that this deal was done during the first session of the Test match being played at Old Trafford Ground. Sanjiv Goenka’s RSPG Group has invested about Rs 935 crore in Manchester Originals. The deal was finalized earlier this week, but RSPG Group had sought to sign it. If reports are to be believed, Manchester Originals will now be known as Manchester Super Giants.

According to reports, five of the seven franchises of The Hundred have signed deals or are close to signing them. Let us tell you that England is expected to collect about Rs 6,073 crore from the cricket teams’ share. Knighthead Capital Company has purchased 49 percent stake in Birmingham Phoenix for approximately Rs 467 crore. Whereas, GMR Group, owner of Delhi Capitals franchise, has bought 100 percent stake in Southern Brave team for about Rs 1,144 crore.

Additionally, deals for London Spirit, Northern Superchargers and Welsh Fire could take place this weekend. At the same time, the competition between the Ambani family and Todd Boehly for a share in the Oval Invincibles and Trent Rockets is becoming exciting. Todd Boehly is the owner of Chelsea Football Club. Deals for these teams will not be completed before the start of the next season, which is scheduled to begin on August 5.
