More than 6 thousand cases of digital arrest registered in the country in one year Gujarati

New Delhi: There has been a shocking increase in the incidents of digital arrests in the country for some time now, due to which the government has also taken action. More than 6000 incidents of digital arrest have been registered in the country in a period of one year. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has constituted a high level committee regarding the increasing cases of cyber crimes and digital arrests in the country. It is being said that the Internal Security Secretary of the Home Ministry is keeping an eye on this committee. In the 115th episode of his monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’, PM Modi had advised the countrymen to be alert about ‘digital arrest’. He also gave the mantra of ‘wait-think-take action’ to avoid cyber fraud.

Following the advice of PM Modi, the Home Ministry has taken a big step to stop the increasing cases of digital arrest and cyber fraud. A high-level committee has been formed to combat digital arrest and cyber stalking. It is being said that a special campaign will be launched to stop the incidents of digital arrest. Apart from this, the 14C wing of the Home Ministry has also contacted the police of all the states. The 14C wing of MHA will monitor digital arrests on a case-to-case basis.

It is noteworthy that this year more than 6,000 complaints related to digital arrest have been registered. The cyber wing of the Home Ministry has so far blocked 6 lakh mobiles. All these phones were involved in incidents of cyber fraud and digital arrest. Apart from this, 14C wing has also blocked 709 mobile applications so far. Not only this, 1 lakh 10 thousand IMEIs involved in cyber fraud have been blocked. Apart from this, 3.25 lakh fake banks related to cyber fraud have also been frozen.
